Terms of Publication

Terms and Conditions of Publication

 1. General Provisions

The journal “Land Management, Cadastre and Land Monitoring” considers original scholarly and scientific-and-professional articles that fall within the thematic scope of the journal, make a clear scholarly contribution, and have not been published previously and are not simultaneously submitted to other journals.

 2. Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts are submitted by the author(s) in the format specified by the editorial office, together with the required accompanying materials. Submission of a manuscript signifies that the author(s):

  • have familiarised themselves with the journal’s editorial policies and agree to the terms of publication;
  • confirm the originality of the work and compliance with the principles of academic integrity;
  • assume responsibility for the accuracy of the data and references provided.

 3. Academic Integrity Screening (Plagiarism Check)

All manuscripts undergo mandatory screening for academic plagiarism using specialised software tools. Manuscripts in which breaches of academic integrity are identified (including, but not limited to, improper borrowing, misrepresentation of authorship, or citation manipulation) are not admitted for further consideration and are returned to the author(s).

 4. Peer Review (Double-Blind Peer Review)

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent for double-blind peer review, under which authors and reviewers do not disclose their identities to one another. Based on the peer-review outcomes, the editorial decision may be:

  • accepted for publication;
  • accepted subject to revision;
  • rejected.

Where revision is required, the author(s) must submit a revised version of the manuscript within the deadline set by the editorial office and provide a response to the reviewers’ comments in a format acceptable to the journal.

 5. Editorial Decision

The final decision on publication is made by the editorial office/editorial board on the basis of:

  • the results of peer review;
  • compliance of the manuscript with the journal’s thematic scope;
  • adherence to editorial requirements and standards of scholarly quality.

The journal reserves the right to reject a manuscript if it does not meet the required scholarly level or the journal’s profile.

 6. Editing and Proofreading

After acceptance, the manuscript undergoes scholarly, language, and technical editing to enhance clarity and ensure compliance with publishing standards, without altering the substance of the work or the author(s)’ position. Where necessary, the manuscript may be returned to the author(s) for approval of edits or clarification of specific parts.

 7. Publication Fees and Payment

Publication is carried out on the basis of reimbursement of costs related to editorial and publishing preparation and printing/online publication. Payment is made only after the article has been accepted for publication.
Publication fees do not influence the peer-review process or editorial decisions.

 8. Copyright and Author Responsibility

The author(s) bear full responsibility for:

  • the reliability of the data and results presented;
  • the accuracy of references and proper citation;
  • compliance with academic integrity standards.

Submission of a manuscript grants the journal the right to publish the material in print and electronic forms in accordance with the journal’s policies and the licensing terms stated on the journal website.
